This is a very large, square canvas that I covered with pieces of oval shaped papers in different sizes and in different shades of white and ivory and other colours that fit the general colour scheme. After finishing the background I added a pensive raven sitting on a branch in the lower right hand corner. He was cut out of black paper.
This piece was a lot of work, but I like how it turned out. It is now hanging above my TV!

Hi Sherrie! Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I did indeed use Mod Podge to stick all the papers on with. I also highly recommend matte gel medium (normally used as a additive for acrylic paints) -- it is particularly good at gluing down heavy things.
