This is a project I made that I'm going to submit to Stampington for the 2010 Hallowe'en issue of Somerset Studio. The title is a metaphor - the raven holds the key.
I know it's a little early for Hallowe'en projects, but I wanted to share this before it went in the mail.
The raven is made from poymer clay with beads for eyes and wire feet and the chair I found at a local thrift store. I "reupholstered" it with jack-o-latern scrapbooking paper. A little crown on the raven is the finishing touch.

I love this Corinne, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. So cute.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! The chair looks to be made from a beverage can. When I was a child one of our neighbors used to make chairs like this from beer cans. They were remarkable.
ReplyDeleteHe'd cut the top off and leaving the can as one piece, cut strips down to the bottom so he could roll portions and also divide strips which make the legs and the back of the chair from the one single can. The seat of the chair is actually the bottom of the can.
He made one for everyone he knew and claimed he had to drink more beer so he could make more chairs. *grin*
